We are a community-based Michigan corporation that brings together public and private resources to develop solutions to problems encountered by economically-deprived citizens of all ages in the Eastern Upper Peninsula.

We accomplish these ends by providing:

  • Affordable housing

  • Assistance with community development projects;

  • Advocacy;

  • Institutional change

  • Provision of direct services that may be necessary to

    ensure self-sufficiency for our constituents.

Eligibility for services varies from program to program, based on certain requirements.

Funding is provided by federal, state, and local governments and by private sources.

CLMCAA is a private, non-profit, non-stock, corporation organized pursuant to the law of Michigan; and received its corporate charter July 23, 1965.

Senior Services

We pride ourselves on keeping seniors active and healthy. We offer in home services, meals on wheels, and many other great programs.

Weatherization

The Weatherization Assistance Program provides free weatherization and energy-efficiency improvements to owner-occupied houses and tenant-occupied rental units

Housing

CLMCAA owns and operates rental properties located in our tri-county area: Avery Square Senior Housing, St. Ignace Senior Housing, and West Bridge Supportive Housing.
